The Victoria & Albert Museum (V & A) is one of the world's greatest museums of art and design.
AEA was commissioned by the V & A in 2005 to assist with developing the museum’s first international strategy. The strategy focused on articulating criteria for meaningful international partnerships and collaborations; determining geographic areas of strategic focus; and developing a portfolio of potential partnership opportunities in the areas of exhibitions and collections; education and scholarship; cultural diplomacy; commercial strategies; and fundraising.
Since the adoption of the strategy by the Board of Trustees, the V&A has substantially increased its international traveling exhibitions, developed new international fundraising strategies, and engaged new partner institutions in China and the United States.
