Clore Leadership Programme

In 2003, The Clore Duffield Foundation established the Clore Leadership Programme, an initiative aimed to “train and develop a new generation of leaders for the cultural sector in the UK”. Each year the programme, under the direction of former Minister for Culture, Media and Sport the Rt. Hon. Chris Smith, selects between 20 and 30 Fellows from the cultural and related sectors. The Fellows participate in a year-long program that includes secondments, a primary research project and intensive fall and summer convenings/workshops led by the UK’s top cultural leaders.
Since the inception of the program, AEA has given workshops on strategic planning, trend analysis and financial modeling at the fall and spring convenings. In addition, AEA was asked by the Programme in 2006 to develop a day-long workshop as part of a three week intensive short course targeted at cultural leaders unable to commit to the full year program.
